ServSafe Food Protection Manager

We have an urgent need for volunteers with the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (also referred to as CFPM, QFO, ServSafe manager)

Health code requires food service establishments to have a CFPM present when food is being prepared/served. If you have this certification and would like to volunteer just one 3 hour shift a month, we would love to have you join us. If you aren't certified but would like to be, we can help you with study materials, support and information on how to take the one day class either in-person or online.

How to get CFPM through ServSafe

Please, fill out the volunteer form below.

Serving Groups

We have openings for volunteer groups of 4-5 people, including one CFPM/QFO, to prepare and serve a meal for our guests once a month from 3pm-6pm. Everyone in the kitchen must be 18 or older.

Please, fill out the volunteer form below.

Individual Volunteers

If you are 18 or older and you'd like to help out with meal prep/serving/cleanup, gardening, cleaning & maintenance, administrative activities and more, please, fill out the volunteer form below.

Work Groups

We put together groups to help with special projects, such as food drives and spring & fall cleaning. If you are interested in helping out with these events, please let us know. Please, fill out the volunteer form below.

Bagged Lunches

We are always in need of people to make bagged lunches for our guests to take with them after the meal. Generally these to-go bagged lunches contain a sandwich, a sweet treat a salty snack, and a fruit. If you are interested in making lunches, please see our bagged lunch page, and fill out the volunteer form below. Please, do not bring in lunches without a scheduled day, if we get too many at a time they may not all be given out in time.

Youth volunteer opportunities. Grades 3-8

Giving Guppies is a growing volunteer program for students in grades 3 through 8 who want to give back while learning the value of kindness, compassion, and community service.

The group meets once each month at Loaves & Fishes, where members work together on projects that help support our guests and brighten our facility.
